Fullstack Founder Joins Jewelbots and Coder Foundry for Discussion on Future of Coding

Ryan Sommer

MaintainPR client and Fullstack Academy Co-founder David Yang recently joined Bobby Davis (Coder Foundry) and Sara Chips (Jewelbots) at the NY Biz Journal offices here in Manhattan to discuss the future of code.

The discussion was recorded and produced as part of Anthony Noto's "Wantonomics" podcast series.

As Anthony points out in his companion article, "the average "Class of 2016" graduate has $37,172 in student loan debt, up 6 percent from last year. Couple that with a super-competitive job market," leaving too many students with CS degrees at a disadvantage.

Bobby, Sara and David do a great job of exploring the other options available (i.e. coding schools), but also talk in-depth about what has changed in the last decade in both Academia and applied software development.

For more details, check out the press release and coverage from TechCrunch's Darrel Etherington as well as IDG Paris bureau chief Peter Sayer. Both are Civ players themselves that never got close to even beating the game's built in AI!
